Mildred Ann Aaron

Mrs. Mildred Ann Aaron, age 68 of Sugar Valley, passed away Tuesday, December 14, 2010 at Floyd Medical Center following an extended illness. She was a native of Gordon County, born on May 25, 1942 to the late Luke Van Hensley and the late Floy Estell Ingle Hensley. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Nell Hensley; a sister-in-law, Jo Hensley; and a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Leon and Ruby Aaron.

Mrs. Aaron was a Sunday school teacher of the special needs class. She was a loving wife and mother, and loved to garden, cook, travel and fish. During her lifetime she was a homemaker, and a member of the New Town Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband of 39 years, Roy Thomas Aaron; a son and daughter-in-law, Marty and Lisa Singleton of Calhoun; two daughters and sons-in-law, Darlene and Mike Caylor, and Bobbie Jean and Scott Colston; three brothers, Bill Hensley, Aurther Hensley and his wife Jessie, and Jack Hensley and his wife Phillis, all of Calhoun; twelve grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Other survivors include aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and her church family and friends of New Town Baptist Church.

Funeral services for Mrs. Mildred Ann Aaron will be conducted Wednesday, December 15th at 3:00pm from chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Walter Hare and Rev. Stacy Hensley officiating. Interment will follow in the Fain Cemetery with Rev. Eddie Brannon conducting the committal service, with remarks by Marty Singleton. Active pallbearers will include Mike Hensley, Rusty Hopper, Rod Holcomb, Danny Mowry, Kelly Hensley, and Dusty Norrell.

The family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Tuesday from 5:30pm until 9:00pm.
