Mildred Eloise Burnette

Mrs. Mildred Eloise Howell Burnette age 90 of Resaca - Lafayette Highway, Resaca, died Friday evening September 5, 2014 at the residence of her son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Debbie Burnette.

Mrs. Burnette was born in Hill City, GA on December 17, 1923, daughter of the late Carl and Bertha Brock Howell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Burnette, to whom she was married for 50 years; two sisters, Ouida Johns and Alma Gilbert; and by three brothers, Don, Pete and Leroy Howell.

Survivors include two daughters, Diane Tate and her husband Marvin of Sugar Valley, and Joyce Hall and her husband Lamar of Lake City, FL; a son, Michael Burnette and his wife Debbie of Resaca; eight grandchildren, Jeff Tate, Eric Tate, Greg Hall, Shelley Hall, Matthew Hall, Eric Townsend and Darla Wooten; along with thirteen great-grandchildren and other relatives.

A service will be held Monday at 12:30 PM from the graveside at Haven of Rest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Monday, September 8th after 9:00 AM until 12:00 noon at Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home. Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.maxbrannonandsons.com.
