Mrs. Mildred Joyce Ingram, age 77 of Marietta, passed away Saturday, February 13, 2010 at Ross Memorial Health Care Center following an extended illness.
Mrs. Ingram was born on November 26, 1932 in Savoie, Kentucky, daughter of the late Henry James Cordell and Mary Rose White Cordell. She was a member of Elizabeth Baptist Church in Marietta.
Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Vernie Jackson Ingram, Jr.; a daughter, Mary Jo Williams and her husband Mark of Kennesaw; a son, Steve Ingram and his wife Gretchem of Eurharlee; a sister, Ruby Smith of Marietta; and five grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services for Mrs. Mildred Joyce Ingram will be conducted Wednesday at 1:00pm from the Elizabeth Baptist Church, with Rev. Steve Echols officiating. The family will receive friends at Winkenhofer-Pine Ridge Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4:00pm until 9:00pm. Mrs.Ingram will lie in state at the church on Wednesday for one hour prior to the funeral service. Interment will follow the service in the Kennesaw Memorial Park Cemetery.
