Mildred Louise Nicholson

Mrs. Mildred Louise Nicholson Wyatt, age 79 of Fairmount, GA, died Saturday, January 11, 2014 in Redmond Regional Medical Center following an extended illness. She was born in Bartow County, GA on August 11, 1934, daughter of the late Marvin and Thelma Romine Buttram. She was retired from Mohawk Industries, and was a Christian, loving to read Gods Word and adoring her family.

Preceding her in death was her late husband and the father of her children, Junior Nicholson; four brothers, Howard Buttrum, Eugene Buttrum, Bufford Buttrum, and Danny Buttrum; and three sisters, Sharon Rampley, Carolyn Thomas and Margie Childers.

Survivors include two daughters, Pat Smith of Calhoun and Debbie Walraven and her husband Bobby of Sugar Valley; two sons, Melvin Nichelson and his wife Lisha of Calhoun, and Timmy Nicholson and his wife Marsha of Fairmount; a brother, R.B. Buttrum and his wife Sissy of Calhoun; two sisters, Teresa Blaylock and Jennie Hamrick, both of Calhoun; grandchildren, Rodney Thomas, Brian Walraven, Melissa Nichelson Brannon, Tammy Walraven, Kolby Nicholson and Marlee Nichelson; and great-grandchildren, Logan Walraven, Anna Brannon, Allie Walraven, Jenna Brannon, Averie Walraven and McKenna Brannon. A special caregiver, Tonya Wooten and other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Mildred Louise Nicholson Wyatt will be held Tuesday, January 14th at 1:00 PM from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Eddie Brannon and Rodney Thomas officiating. Music will be arranged by Sally Jones. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Baptist Church Cemetery near Rydal, GA. Pallbearers serving will include Kolby Nicholson, Brian Walraven, Logan Walraven, Daniel Pendley, Steve Black and Jeff Cook. Rodney Thomas will serve as honorary pallbearer.

The family will receive friends Monday, January 13th between the hours of 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home in Calhoun.
