Mildred Pauline Moore Gresham

Mildred Pauline Moore Gresham, a beloved mother, grandmother, and longtime resident of Calhoun, passed away October 24, 2024, at The Fountains In Calhoun, surrounded by her children. She was 91, born August 20, 1933, in Gordon County. She grew up in Rome, Ga. Her parents were the late Chester Moore and the late Dora Kent Moore. Her brothers and sisters, all deceased, were Tommy Moore, Bobby Moore, Walter Moore, Billy Moore, and Edna Wilson. She was married to "the love of her life,” the late Dr. Leon Gresham for over 60 years of marriage. Son, Tracy Gresham, son Russell Gresham, and great grandchild Katherine Bearden also preceded her in death.

Mildred is survived by her son Roger Gresham and his wife Candi Gresham, and daughter, Ginger Worde. Also, grandchildren, Heather Duncan (Steven), Ashley Bearden (Jameson), Christopher Gresham, Alison Gresham, Taylor Gresham, Haggan Gresham, Hannah Putnam (Tyler), and great grandchildren, Ashlyn Southerland, Landon Bearden, Logan Duncan, and Camden Duncan.

Mildred was a retired home maker and was very active in her younger years. She bowled on several leagues, was a very talented artist, and painted many large, beautiful canvases. She volunteered, was a member of Calhoun First Baptist Church, where she regularly attended Sunday School taught by her beloved teacher, Linda Abercrombie. She enjoyed being a mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

The family invites friends and family to visitation at Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home, Saturday, October 26, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. 

Services will be conducted from the chapel of Max Brannon's & Sons, Sunday October 27, at 3:00 PM, led by Reverend Bert Vaughn, and music by Randy Worde, Addi Lester, and Karli Rogers. Pallbearers are Steven Duncan, Haggan Gresham, Taylor Gresham, Tyler Putnam, Jameson Bearden, Christopher Gresham, and are asked to be at the chapel by 2:30. Burial will follow at Fidelle Cemetery.
