Minnie Mae Towe Mills

Mrs. Minnie Mae Towe Mills, age 71 of Calhoun, passed away Tuesday, December 30, 2008 at Gordon Hospital following an extended illness. She was born in Floyd County on May 3, 1937, daughter of the late Troy and Bessie J. Towe. Mrs. Mills was a homemaker and had retired from Beaulieu of America, and was a member of the Dry Creek Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by siblings; Jamar Towe, Harold Towe, and Margie Jackson.

Survivors include her husband of fifty years, William (Billy) Mills of Calhoun; three sons, Jeffery Mills of Calhoun, Milton Mills and his wife Tina of Fairmount, and Clarence Mills and his wife Donna of Cartersville; a daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Dave Dubanoski of Cartersville; three brothers, Wilton Towe and his wife Carol, Carl Towe, and Delmas Towe and his wife Barbara, all of Adairsville; and a sister and brother-in-law, Debra and Noah Cash of Rome. Nine grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Minnie Mae Towe Mills will be conducted Friday, January 2 at 2:00pm from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Larry Towe officiating. Interment will follow in Fain Cemetery. Active pallbearers will include Charles Agan, Josh Agan, Kenneth Jackson, Fredrick Cash, Steve Smith, and Will Mills. Honorary pallbearers are Ted Smith and Hoyt Jackson. The family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Thursday from 6:00pm until 9:00pm.
