Monalisa Marie Duarte

Mrs. Monalisa "Mona" Marie Duarte, age 60 of Calhoun, passed away Thursday, May 26, 2011 at Gordon Hospital following several months of declining health. She was born in Chicopee, Massachusetts on September 28, 1950, daughter of the late Henry Joseph Dionne and the late Georgiana Jeanette Dionne. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Henry Duarte, Sr. on May 17, 1997; three brothers, Albert "Al" Charles Henry Dionne, William "Bill" Lewis Dionne, and Joseph "Joe" Henry Dionne, all of Florida; and a grandson, Dewayne Bennett II on September 7, 2007 of Calhoun,

Survivors include a son, Robert Henry Duarte, Jr. and future daughter-in-law Susan of Adairsville; a daughter and son-in-law, Crystal Ann and Dewayne Bennett of Calhoun; a sister, Sherry Seamone Cobb and brother-in-law, Teddy Cobb of Hollister, Florida; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert "Bob" Leonard Dionne and Della of Mount Holly, NC, James "Jim" Donald Dionne and Jean of Yulee, Florida, and Frances "Butch" Lester Dionne and Gail of Hollister; a granddaughter, Monalisa Marie Evans and her husband Rocky of Calhoun; and two special great-grandsons, Skyler Lee Evans and Bryson Jake Evans of Calhoun. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Monalisa "Mona" Marie Duarte will be held Thursday, June 2 at 2:00pm from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Bobby Brindle officiating. Mrs. Duarte's body will be cremated following the service.
