Morene Mcbee Arnold

Mrs. Morene McBee Arnold, better known by her friends as "Mo", age 82 of Calhoun, formerly of Rome, died Saturday, October 10, 2015 in a local nursing facility after several years of declining health.

She was born in Gordon County, GA on February 4, 1933, daughter of the late Lee and Myrtle Sisson Mcbee. Prior to her retirement, she owned and operated the Dairy King in Adairsville for 28 years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Arnold in 2011; a sister, Patty McBee Barton; a brother, Gene McBee; and brothers-in-law, David Barton and Grady Blankenship.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Sherry and Ricky Marshall of Calhoun; her sister, Grathel Blankenship of Nicklesville; two brothers, Larry (Buck) McBee and his wife Betty of Calhoun, and Johnny McBee and his wife Dell of Resaca; and a sister-in-law, Yvonne McBee of Calhoun. A special friend, Rachael (Bootie) Hobgood, and a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives also survive.

A service to honor the life of Morene "Mo" McBee Arnold will be conducted Tuesday, October 13th at 1:00 PM from the chapel of Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Eddie Brannon, Dr. Billy Goolesby and Rev. Jack Cole officiating. Interment will follow in Floyd Memory Gardens. Pallbearers serving will include, Jamie Barton, Ricky McBee, Ronnie Blankenship, Jeff McBee, Kurt McBee, Johnny McBee and Larry (Buck) McBee.

The family will receive friends at Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home on Monday, October 12th between the hours of 5:00 PM and 8:00 PM.
