Morris Henry Nix

Mr. Morris Henry Nix, age 70 of Resaca, GA died Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at Park Ridge Hospital following several years of declining health. He was a native of Ranger, born on May 16, 1946 to the late John Henry and Jewel Wofford Nix. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Jane Baggett Nix in 2011.

Mr. Nix was a veteran, serving his country in the US Army in Germany during the Vietnam era. He was employed with Mohawk for 30 years.

Survivors include his daughter, Desiree Nix of Resaca; brothers and sisters-in-law, Marvin and Patsy Nix, Milton and Linda Nix, and Juan and Genie Nix, all of Calhoun; sisters and brother-in-law, Varina McKeehan of Dalton, and Johnnie and Jimmy Bowers of Calhoun; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Services to honor the life of Mr. Morris Henry Nix will be held Saturday, May 28th at 11:00 a.m. from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Eddie Brannon officiating. Interment will follow in the Camp Lewallen Cemetery in Dalton with military honors. Pallbearers will include Doug Smith, Allen Roberts, Brandon Goss, Ryan Cobler, David Bowers, and Eric Nix.

The Nix family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, May 27th from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
