Myron C. Bohannon

Mr. Myron C. Bohannon, 80, of Calhoun died on Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at Calhoun Healthcare Center following several months of declining health. Myron was born in Gordon County on March 8, 1936; he was the son of the late David P. Bohannon and Ruby Bagwell. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Bobby Bohannon, Max Stephens, Lamar Stephens, and Hayward Bohannon; his sisters, Virginia Carney and Barbara Bynum. Prior to his retirement, he worked with Shannon Mills.
Survivors include his sons, Clayton Lamar Bohannon, Paul Byron Bohannon, Michael James Bohannon, and Steven Lynn Bohannon; his daughter and son-in-law, Reda F. and Larry Taylor; his sister, Peggy Adcock; his grandchildren, Rhonda and Zack Bandy, Joshua and Alexis Taylor, Dustin and Nikki Taylor, Holly Bohannon, Emily Bohannon, Gabriel Bohannon, and Sara and Josh Tallent; his great-grandchildren, Shelbie Bandy, Sadie Bandy, Zoey Tallent, and Tyler Tallent; his sister-in-law, Evelyn Stephens; nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
The Bohannon family will receive friends on Friday, December 2, 2016 from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home. Burial will follow the service at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery.
