Nancy Nix

Mrs. Nancy Jane Baggett Nix, age 58 of Resaca, died Friday, December 30, 2011 at Gordon Hospital.

Mrs. Nix was born on October 3, 1953 in Whitfield County, daughter of the late J.B. and Margaret Catherine Corley Baggett. She was also preceded in death by an infant son, Jeremy Sanderfoot and a sister, Bonnie Baggett.

She was a member of the Catholic church and was a homemaker.

Survivors are her husband, Morris Henry Nix, to whom she was married for 30 years; a daughter, Desiree Cobler and her husband Ryan of Chatsworth; two sisters, Mary Edwards and Priscilla Badger, both of South Carolina; a brother, Jimmy Baggett of South Carolina; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Mass for Mrs. Nancy Jane Baggett Nix will be conducted Friday, January 6 at 2:00pm from the St. Clements Catholic Church, with Father Joseph Shaute officiating. Interment will follow the service at the Camp Lewallen Cemetery in Dalton.

The Nix family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Friday from 9:00am until time to depart to the church for the funeral service.
