Nathan Young

Nathan Young, 95, of Resaca, Georgia, passed away on Friday, February 14, 2025. He was born in Pickens County on January 3, 1930, to the late Lindsey and Betty Hancock Young. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife in 2008, Patsy Lucille Young; daughter, Linda Trammell; and brother-in-law, Cricket Watson.

Nathan is survived by his sons, Roy Young (Krystal), Randall Young, and Raymond Young (Gail); daughters, Peggy Underhill (Joseph), Angela Farris (Michael), and Sarah Flemming (Stanley); son-in-law, J.T. Trammell; brothers, Ed Young (Faye) and James Young (Melba); sister, Francis Watson; 23 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home on Monday, February 17, 2025, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. 

Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Stone officiating. Burial will follow in Haven of Rest Memorial Park. Pallbearers are Nathan England, Raymond Young, Randall Young, Joe Underhill, and Randall England.
