Mrs. Nellie Jane Renner, age 93 of Dalton, passed away Saturday, April 23, 2011 at Gordon Hospital.

She was born on November 26, 1917 in Green County, Tennessee, daughter of the late William and Lucy Ricker Freshour. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Herman Renner, to whom she had been married for 58 years; a grandson Mitchell Franklin; a daughter-in-law, Lou Ellen Renner; and a son-in-law, Harold Edmondson.

Mrs. Renner is survived by five daughters, Katheryn Russell and her husband Oley, JoAnn Weyman and her husband Danny, and Wanda Franklin, all of Loudon, Tennessee, Linda Edmondson of Dalton, and Denise Green and her husband Billy of Calhoun; two sons, William Renner of Panama City, Florida, and Michael Renner and his wife Sheck of Texas; a sister, Jessie Hurst of Knoxville, Tennessee; and two brothers, Clarence Freshour of Florida, and J.V. Freshour of Knoxville, Tennessee. Fifteen grandchildren, thirty-five great grandchildren, twenty-two great-great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Nellie Jane Renner will be conducted Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at 12:00 noon from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Oley Russell and Rev. Billy Green officiating. Pallbearers serving will include Jerry Russell, Curt Weyman, Michael Renner, Douglas Renner, Brandon Roberts, Michael Roberts and C.D. Renner. Interment will follow in the Gordon Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Tuesday morning from 9:00am until the funeral hour of 12:00 noon.
