Mr. Nesbit Anderson Crider, better known as "Ned", age 83 of Calhoun, passed away Tuesday, August 3, 2010 at his residence.
He was born on January 22, 1927 in Habersham County, Georgia, son of the late Rev. E.D. Crider and Dovie Mae Craig Crider. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a sister, Floureaner Crider, and by two brothers, Marvin Crider and Earvin Crider. During his lifetime, he was a self-employed painter and was of the Baptist faith.
Mr. Crider is survived by his former wife and friend, Edna E. Crider of the home; a daughter, Melynda Henson; two sons, Chuck E. Crider, and Ted N. Crider and his wife Rhonda, all of Calhoun; two sisters, Bernice Fields and her husband Jimmy of Douglasville, and Virginia Fuquea of Calhoun; and a brother, Edward Lee Crider of Cartersville. Grandchildren surviving are Shane and Heath Henson, Jesse and Cameron Crider, and Matt, Hannah and Jordan Crider, all of Calhoun. Nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends also survive.
Funeral services for Mr. Nesbit Anderson Crider will be conducted Friday, August 6, 2010 at 11:00am from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Gary Quarles officiating. Music will be arranged by the Bohannon Quartet. Pallbearers serving will include Shane Henson, Heath Henson, Cameron Crider, Ricky Mathis, Maxwell Oliver, Lee Crider, Brian Crider and Jason Crider. Interment will follow the service at the Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Thursday from 6:00pm until 9:00pm.
