Nettie Elizabeth Taulbee

Mrs. Nettie Elizabeth Taulbee, age 89 of Calhoun, passed away Monday, December 6, 2010 at Gordon Health Care following an extended illness.

She was born in Bradley County, Tennessee on July 7, 1921, daughter of the late John and Mary Logan Gibson. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Martin Taulbee in 2007; a son, Martin Taulbee, Jr.; a daughter, Alberta Bradley; and two sisters, Lucille Jordan and Bea Osmont.

During her lifetime, she worked as a manager in the restaurant industry.

Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, June and Larry Scoggins of Ringgold, Georgia, Patti and Steve Meilinger of Winchester, Kentucky, and Pam and Walt Pooley of New Port Richey, Florida; a son-in-law, Phillip Bradley of Winchester, Kentucky; ten grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren. Nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Nettie Elizabeth Taulbee will be conducted Wednesday, December 8th at 1:00pm from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Eddie Brannon officiating. Interment will follow in the Chandler Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Wednesday from 11:00am until the funeral hour of 1:00pm.
