Nita Carole Cobb-King

Mrs. Nita Carole Cobb King, age 55 of Rockmart, Georgia passed away Sunday, October 27, 2013.

Mrs. King was born on August 1, 1958 in Cobb County, daughter of Rev. James Wesley Cobb, Sr. and the late Juanita Louise Drew Cobb. She was a homemaker and a member of the Friendly Baptist Church. She loved crocheting and quilting, video games and talking on the phone. In addition to her mother, Mrs. King was preceded in death by a brother, Mr. James Wesley Cobb, Jr.

Survivors include her husband, Ronald "Ronnie" Keith King of Rockmart; two daughters, Wendy Renae Garcia and her husband Jesus and Mistie Weaver Lagunes and her husband Amador all of Newnan; son, William Shane Brewer of Newnan; father and step-mother, Rev. James Wesley Cobb and Maxine Davis Cobb of Calhoun; two sisters, Sherri Jean Cobb Cooper of Cartersville and Rita Christi Cobb Smith of Rockmart; five grandchildren, Aaron Michael Pettit, Jordan Lee Weaver, Alexis Kai Weaver, Sabrina Ryan Mason and Clarence Bradley Ballew; nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. King will be held on Wednesday, October 30th at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Freeman Harris Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Hulsey and Rev. Robert Vines officiating. Interment services will follow in the family lot of Northview Cemetery of Cedartown with Rev. James Cobb officiating.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Aaron Michael Pettit, Jordan Lee Weaver, Carey Lee Smith, Daniel Felton Smith, Caleb Paul Smith and Jesse David Smith.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening, October 29th between the hours of 6 and 9pm.
