Nora Ruth Faulkenberry

Mrs. Nora Ruth Faulkenberry, age 74 of Calhoun, passed away Tuesday, October 19, 2010 at Cartersville Heights Nursing Home following several months of declining health. She was born in Gordon County on June 11, 1936, daughter of the late Judson and Sallie Barton Clements. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by two brothers, Jay Maner and J.C. Clements.

During her lifetime she was a self-employed Beautician. She was a faithful member of the Sugar Valley Church of God, and a member of the Sugar Valley Church of God Trio.

Survivors include a grandchild, Brittney Woodward of Michigan; nieces, Elysia Kinsey, Edena Rushing, Diane Allen and her husband Charley, and Lesa Seabolt; and nephews, Chuck Ellis, Cris Gann, and Chuck Allen, all of Calhoun.

Funeral services for Mrs. Nora Ruth Faulkenberry will be conducted Friday, October 22nd at 3:00pm from the Sugar Valley Church of God, with Pastor Dwaine Shadix officiating. Interment will follow in the Sugar Valley Old United Methodist Church Cemetery. Active pallbearers will include Ron Mason, Wayne Aldridge, David Raines, Lonnie Walker, Jack McGaskey, and Jim Roberts. These gentlemen are requested to meet at the funeral home Friday at 2:15pm. Honorary pallbearers will be the Happy Hearts of the Sugar Valley Church of God.

The family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Thursday from 5:00pm until 9:00pm.
