Norma Jane Worley

Norma Jane Worley, age 63 of Calhoun, passed away Friday, February 17, 2012 at Floyd Hospital following an extended illness. She was born in Gordon County on February 9, 1949, daughter of George and Annie Mae Cox Worley, and was preceded in death by a brother, Jeffrey Charles Worley, and a niece, Charmin Lynn Worley.

Prior to her illness, Norma was a Registered Nurse, employed with Hamilton Medical Center. She was a member of the New Town Baptist Church.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Andy and Holly Worley; a brother and sister-in-law, Steve and Sue Worley; a sister and brother-in-law, Phyllis and Jack Hensley; and two grandchildren, Chase Worley and Kaylee Worley, all of Calhoun. Special friends, "Red" McCormick of Texas, and Debbie Henderson of Dalton; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for Norma Jane Worley will be held Monday, February 20th at 2:00pm from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Stacey Hensley and Rev. Walter Hare officiating. Interment will follow in the Fain Cemetery. Active pallbearers include Cory Causby, Justin Worley, Cody Hensley, Kelly Hensley, Jack Hensley, and Brody Hensley. The staff and friends of Calhoun Health Care will serve as honorary pallbearers.

The Worley family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Sunday from 5:00pm until 9:00pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations are made to assist with funeral expenses.
