Ola Mae Harris

Mrs. Ola Mae Harris, age 90 of Calhoun, passed away Saturday, December 18, 2010 at her residence following a brief illness.

She was born on June 26, 1920 in Walker County, daughter of the late John and Belle Smith Cudd. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Harris; a son, James; and a granddaughter, Tracy Lee Harris.

Mrs. Harris is survived by three daughters, Sue Ray and her husband Eddie, and Carol Lynn, both of Calhoun; and Mary Hicks and her husband John of Adairsville; two sons, Roy Harris, and Bo Harris and his wife Terresa, all of Calhoun; a special grandson, Taylor Hicks; as well as grandchildren, Patty Wilson, Selena Johnson, Shonta Harris, Shaun Adams, Alisha Samano, Cameron Pasley, Angie Benton, Jerome Pasley, Roslynn Charles, Jason Ray and Michael Ray. Sixteen great-grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Ola Mae Harris will be conducted Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at 11:00am from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Brandon Patterson officiating. Pallbearers serving will include Shaun Adams, Jerome Pasley, Spencer Jones, Jackson Jones, Kouper Pasley and Michael Ray. Interment will follow the service in the Chandler Cemetery. The family will begin receiving friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Sunday at 5:00pm.
