Otis Junior Davis

Mr. Otis Junior "Buddy" Davis, age 82 of Fairmount, passed away Monday, November 4, 2013 in a Rome hospital. He was born in Bartow County on January 19, 1931, son of the late Lonnie and Lucille Moss Davis. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Genett Nicholson Davis; and two brothers, Olin Davis and Pete Davis.

Mr. Davis enjoyed spending time in the outdoors and riding his four-wheeler.

He leaves behind his children, Jimmy Davis and his wife Brenda of Jasper, Ted Davis and his wife Mychell of Fairmount, Patricia Ratcliff and her husband Leroy of Waleska, Wanda McDaniel and her husband Don of Calhoun, Debbie Morgan of Calhoun, and Tammy Moss and her husband Steve of LaFayette; and a sister, Beatrice Teague of Waleska. Grandchildren surviving are Kim Hendrix, Miranda McDaniel, Robert McSwain, Shannon Watermolen, Joseph McSwain, Leila Morgan, Chadwick Brannon, Devin Townsend, Samantha Townsend, Thomas Townsend, Emily Davis, Tim Davis, Lonnie Davis, Melina Davis, Lisa Davis, Buddy Davis, and Joseph Davis. Seventeen great-grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren, special friend, Imogene Hall, nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mr. Otis Junior "Buddy" Davis will be held Wednesday, November 6th at 2:00 PM from Ludville Church of God, with Rev. Hoyt Jones and Rev. Kenny Benham officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Active pallbearers are Shane McSwain, Larry Watson, Scott Stanford, Tim Davis, Lonnie Davis, and Sonny Teague.

The Davis family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Tuesday from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
