Patricia Ann Langley, age 55 of Calhoun, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, July 30, 2008 after nine months of declining health. She was born in Floyd County on March 21, 1953, and was employed with Mohawk Industries.
Patricia was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Evans; step-father, Caleb Powers; a niece, Sabrina Nation; a great nephew, Bryson Youman; and a special friend, Samuel D. Brown.
Survivors include her mother, Myrtle Langley Powers; two sisters, Martha Chamlee and her husband Gary, and Deborah Powers, all of Calhoun. Several nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.
Funeral services for Patricia Ann Langley will be conducted Friday, August 1, at 2:00pm from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. A.J. Waters and Pastor Phil White officiating. Burial will follow in the Chandler Cemetery. Active pallbearers will include Gary W. Chamlee, Gary Mitchell "Little Gary" Chamlee, Danny Mowry, Eric Mowry, Dean Redden, and Caleb Biddy. These gentlemen are asked to meet at the funeral home Friday at 1:15pm. Honorary pallbearers will be Louis Wagner, Richard Kitchens, Charles Wagner, and Buster Medders. They are asked to meet at the funeral home Friday at 1:45pm.
The family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Thursday, between the hours of 5:00pm and 9:00pm.
