Patricia Ann Payton

Mrs. Patricia Ann Payton, age 56 of Calhoun, passed away Friday February 22, 2008. She was born in Gordon County on March 10, 1951, daughter of the late John Henry Adams and Cecilia Digsby Adams of Calhoun. She was a member of East Calhoun Church of God.

Mrs. Payton was preceded in death by her husband, Larry L. Burkett. Four brothers, Chester Adams, Ronnie Adams, Lewis Adams and Eddie Adams, and one sister, Barbara Crawford also preceded her in death.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law; Lee and Bette Charles of Calhoun; mother, Cecilia Tommie Adams of Calhoun; one daughter and son-in-law, Shannon Claiborne and Leon Davis of Tennessee; two grandchildren, Brandon Ingle Burkett and Nikki Ingle Burkett, both of Calhoun; one brother, James Adams of Calhoun; and three sisters, Mary Bray of Calhoun, Betty Brown of Rome, and Lily Shephard of Rome.

A Memorial Service for Mrs. Patricia Ann Payton will be conducted Monday at 5:00 p.m. from the chapel of the Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Darin Clarke officiating.
