Patsy Lucille Young

Mrs. Patsy Lucille Young, age 63 of Calhoun, passed away Sunday, June 15, 2008 after several years of declining health. She was born in Piedmont, Alabama on January 26, 1945, daughter of the late Presley and Fannie Davis Haney.

Survivors include her husband of 44 years, Nathan Young; two sons, Raymond Young and his wife Gail, and Randal Young, both of Calhoun; three daughters, Linda Young, Peggy Thompson and her husband Michael, both of Calhoun, and Angie Farist and her husband Mitchell of Fairmount; a brother, Jerry Lee Haney of Dalton; and two sisters, Maggie Williams and Geraldine Baker and her husband Bill, both of Dalton. Sixteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Patsy Lucille Young will be conducted Tuesday, June 17 at 1:00pm from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Hubert Pack officiating. Interment will follow in the Haven of Rest Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will include Chris Smith, Randy Smith, Raymond Young, Iza Baker, Mitchell Farist, Michael Thompson, and Randall Young. These gentlemen are asked to meet at the funeral home Tuesday at 12:15pm. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday between the hours of 5:00pm and 9:00pm.
