Patsy Stephens Hensley

Mrs. Patsy Stephens Hensley, age 72 of Calhoun, died Monday, August 12, 2013 in Redmond Regional Medical Center following several weeks declining health.

Mrs. Hensley was born in Gordon County, GA on February 2, 1941, daughter of the late Samuel Earl Stephens and Dorothy Ingle Stephens. She was a Licensed Practical Nurse, having worked for Gordon Hospital and Calhoun Health Care for 32 years. She was also a Licensed Dental Assistant, and a member of the Sequoyah Order of Eastern Star Lodge # 286. She was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church.

Mrs. Hensley was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Jack Hensley in February, 2013; and by a sister, Margurite Stephens.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Sheila Hensley of Resaca; a daughter and son-in-law, Charlena and James, Jr. Kidd of Calhoun; three sisters, Brenda Fouts and her husband Edward, Shirley Cornwell, and Margie Patterson and her husband Pat; grandchildren, Chris (Deana) Hensley, Bryan Hensley, Angela (Josh) Glosson, and Kimberly (Philip) Harp; and great-grandchildren, Hope Hensley, Caitlyn Glosson, Leah Harp, Macy Harp, Hunter Harp, Cara Harp, Jenica Glosson, and Aaron Chambers.

Funeral services for Mrs. Patsy Stephens Hensley will be held Friday, August 16th at 1:00 PM from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Eddie Brannon officiating. Interment will follow in Haven of Rest Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will include Chris Hensley, Bryan Hensley, Philip Harp, Jake Smith, Tyler Smith, and Russell Whitfield. Honorary pallbearers are Austin Whitfield and Steven Parker.

The Hensley family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Wednesday from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM, and Thursday from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
