Patty Louise Jones

Mrs. Patty Louise Jones, age 57 of Calhoun, passed away Sunday, June 20, 2010 at her residence. She was born in Alpharetta, Georgia on May 25, 1953, daughter of the late Alfred and Ella Smith Holbrook. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a brother, Jack Holbrook.

Mrs. Jones was a homemaker during her lifetime, and was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother.

Survivors include her husband, Marvin Jones, Sr. of the residence; two sons, Bobby Jones of Calhoun, and Jack Jones and his wife Brandi of Sugar Valley; a daughter, Amanda Lambert and her husband Kevin of Calhoun; two step-sons, Marvin Jones, Jr. of Dallas, and John Jones of Calhoun; two step-daughters, Lee Jones of Adairsville, and Tammy Burchett and her husband Patrick of Calhoun; and three brothers, Bobby Holbrook and his wife Sarah of Trion, J.L. Holbrook and his wife Joy of Summerville, and Gene Holbrook of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Grandchildren surviving are Taylor Jones, Dominick Lambert, Harley Jones, Robbie Jones, Kaydence Jones, Catherine Jones, Chance Jones, Kendall Jones, Chaz Jones, Dennis Haney, and many others. Nieces, nephews, great-grandchildren, and other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Patty Louise Jones will be conducted Tuesday, June 22nd at 11:00am from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Pastor Dwaine Shadix and Pastor Steve Morrow officiating. Interment will follow in the Sugar Valley Old United Methodist Church Cemetery. Active pallbearers will include Bobby Jones, Robert Glenn Jones, Jr., Andy Lambert, Jeffery Harrison, Aubry Bowman, and Bobby Baggett. These gentlemen are requested to meet at the funeral home Tuesday at 10:15am.

The family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Tuesday from 9:00am until the funeral hour of 11:00am.
