Paul Buddy Dutton

Mr. Paul Buddy Dutton, age 80 of Rydal, passed away Thursday, November 11, 2010 at Gordon Hospital. He was born in Gordon County on May 23, 1930, son of the late Jess and Arlene Gregory Dutton. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by four brothers, Charles Jack Dutton, Sonny Dutton, Melvin Dutton, and Jimmy Dutton; a sister, Esther Dutton, and a grandchild, Christine Dutton.

Mr. Dutton loved working outside and hunting and fishing. He had been employed by the Gordon County School System.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Mary Sutton Dutton; a son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Kay Dutton of Calhoun; a daughter, Dottie Dutton Belvin of Rydal; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Don and Alice Dutton of Cartersville, Ted and Shirley Dutton of Calhoun, and John E. and Joy Dutton of Rydal; grandchildren, Daniel Belvin, Mike Christopher Campbell, Kane Dutton, and Samantha and Robert Dutton; and great-grandchildren, Timothy Paul Campbell, Zachary Campbell, and Harley Dawn Dutton. Numerous friends and other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for Mr. Paul Buddy Dutton will be conducted Sunday, November 14th at 2:00pm from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Dr. James Shope officiating. Interment will follow in Gordon Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Saturday from 5:00pm until 9:00pm.
