Paul Queen Helton

Mr. Paul Queen Helton, age 67 of Calhoun, Georgia passed away Monday, April 6, 2009 at Gordon Hospital following several years of declining health. He was born in Bradley County, Tennessee on April 3, 1942, son of the late James David Helton and Lelen Crumley Helton. During his lifetime, he was employed by CTI as a truck driver, and was of the Baptist faith. He was considered by his family to be the greatest father and grandfather anyone could ever ask for, and will be loved and missed forever in their hearts.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Chelsea Taylor, a sister, and four brothers, all from Cleveland, Tennessee.

Survivors include two daughters, Beverly Taylor of the residence, and Connie Spivey of Calhoun; a son, Paul Helton, Jr. of Calhoun; a son-in-law, Bobby Taylor; a daughter-in-law, Oleta Helton; three sisters, Deannie Richardson, Daisy Fairbanks, and Betty Mikel, all of Cleveland; and a brother, Douglas Helton of Cleveland. Eight grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends also survive.

Funeral services for Mr. Paul Queen Helton will be conducted Thursday, April 9 at 2:00pm from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Glen Seaton and Rev. Ray Cheathem officiating. Interment will follow in the Sugar Valley Baptist Church Cemetery. Active pallbearers will include Bobby Taylor, Zachery Taylor, Matthew Helton, Bradley Phillips, Josh Spivey, and Greg Mikel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday after 5:00pm.
