Paul Wyman Wilkey

Mr. Paul Wyman Wilkey, age 70 of Resaca, died Sunday, November 2, 2014. He was born in Gordon County on September 23, 1944, son of the late John Thomas Wilkey and the late Beulah Lee Garland Wilkey. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Melissa Ann Wilkey; and brothers, Billy Wilkey, Jack Wilkey, Earl Wilkey, and Elick Wilkey.

Mr. Wilkey was a self-employed carpenter. He attended Plainville Church of God of Prophecy.

Survivors include a son, Wyman Wilkey of Oxford, GA; a step-daughter, Beverly Burnett of Calhoun; a sister, Bonnie Wilkey Shephard of Plainville; grandchildren, Shea, Austin, Kelcey, Angel, and Misty; and great-grandchildren, Matthew, Star, Anthony, Annalease, Hayden, Haley, and Harlie.

Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Paul Wyman Wilkey will be held Sunday, November 9th at 1:30 PM from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Pastor Jerry Gaddis officiating. Interment will follow in Scott Cemetery. Active pallbearers will include Anthony Wilkey, Joseph Wilkey, Thomas Parks, Le Parks, David Stone, Jerry Garland, Daniel Monteith, and Floyd Burke.

The Wilkey family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 12:00 noon until the funeral hour of 1:30 PM.
