Pauline Dodd Tidwell

Mrs. Pauline Dodd Tidwell age 97 of Calhoun passed away Wednesday May 23, 2007 at Gordon Health Care Center. She was born in Floyd County, Georgia on August 1, 1909 daughter of the late Charles Jackson and Julia Elizabeth Hall Dodd. Mrs. Tidwell was in nursing for more than forty years and attended White Graves Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her first husband Albert W. Goodhart and by her second husband Buford A. Tidwell. Four brothers Ralph, Lee and Roy Dodd and seven sisters Ever, Ola, Annie, Nellie, Odel, Maybelle, and Marylou also preceded her in death.

Survivors include a sister-in-law Ethel Dodd of Calhoun and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Pauline Dodd Tidwell will be conducted Friday May 25, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of the Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Perry Blackstock officiating. Singing will be arranged by Maybelle Knight. Interment will follow in the Gordon Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers serving will include nephews, Ronnie Dodd, C.J. Dodd, Bill Dodd, and Harold Dodd. The family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Thursday evening after 5:00 p.m.
