Mr. Perry Don Mauldin, age 57 of Calhoun, passed away Tuesday, September 15, 2009 at Gordon Hospital. He was born in Fort Payne, Alabama on February 17, 1952, son of the late Edgar and Jennie Williams Mauldin. Mr. Mauldin was employed with Mohawk Industries as a truck driver.
Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Betty Carla Moore Mauldin; a son, Adam Don Mauldin of Calhoun; a daughter and son-in-law, Tabitha Carlette and Dewayne Michael Payne of Calhoun; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary and Bob Klink of Chattanooga, Tennessee, Cookie and Wayne Watson, Diane and Edwin Clayton, and Helen and Gordon Bailey, all of Gadsden, Alabama. Two grandchildren, Gwyneth Delaney Payne and Gavin Dewayne Payne also survive.
Graveside services for Mr. Perry Don Mauldin will be conducted Thursday at 11:00am from Gordon Memorial Gardens, with Rev. Gary Quarles officiating. Active pallbearers will include Adam Wiggins, Wayne Fowler, Dewayne Payne, Dave Fowler, Wayne Watson, and Chad Bailey. The family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Thursday morning from 9:00am until the procession to the graveside.
