Phillip "Tater" Lanier, 53 of Calhoun, died Wednesday, May 18, 2016. He was born in Floyd County on December 18, 1962, son of the late W.A. "Bunk" and Claudia Smith Lanier.
Phillip was a life-long resident of Gordon County. He was a self-employed heating and air technician. He loved life, and fishing, hunting, and golfing. He always looked forward to one of his favorite golf tournaments, the Little Angels charity event. Phillip was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose, and the Calhoun Elks Lodge.
He leaves behind his son and daughter-in-law, Zac and Lindsey Lanier of Chattanooga, TN; his brother and sister-in-law, Denmon and Diane Lanier of Calhoun; and aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A Memorial Service to honor the life of Phillip "Tater" Lanier will be held Monday, May 23rd at 7:00 PM from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Dr. Brent Davis officiating.
The Lanier family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, May 23rd from 5:00 PM until the service hour.
