Phyllis JoAnne Boyd

Phyllis JoAnne Goforth Boyd, 77, of Calhoun, passed away on June 19, 2024, at her residence following four years of declining health.

She was born in Calhoun, Georgia, on May 3, 1947, the daughter of the late Earnest and Martha Gallman Goforth. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by the father of her children, Richard Burns, her son Ritchie Burns, stepson Trent Boyd, and a sister, Shelia Morrow.

JoAnne loved her family dearly. While living in Tylertown, MS, she attended Dinan Baptist Church, and after moving back to Calhoun, she attended New Life Ministries in Adairsville.

Surviving is her husband, Kim Boyd; three daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and Steve Morrow, Becky and Tony Temple and Lisa McPherson; grandchildren, Kevin (Crystal) Lambert, Andy Lambert, Sara Rickett, Chad (Melanie) Temple, Jennifer (Cully) Gilfoil, Russ (Brittany) Morrow, Ryan Morrow, Cheyenne Temple, Anthony Hall, Billy Morrow, and Eli Temple; twelve great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild: step-children, Charlie Jo Clayton and Heath Boyd; brother, Mike Goforth; sisters, Vicky Hudson, Patsy Davidson, and Phyllis (Larry) Parris; along with nieces, nephews and other relatives.

The funeral will be held Saturday, June 22, 2024, at 1:00 PM from the chapel of Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home, with Pastor Steve Morrow and David Parker officiating. A private graveside service will follow in Gordon Memorial Gardens on Monday, June 24, 2024. Pallbearers serving include Eli Temple, Chad Temple, Russ Morrow, Dominick Lambert, Andy Lambert, and Billy Morrow; honorary pallbearers are Kevin Lambert, Taylor Jones, Tyson Temple, Jared Temple, and Ryan Morrow.

The family will receive friends on Friday, June 21st, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
