Mrs. Priscilla Joyce Patrick Curtis, age 70 of Calhoun, GA passed away Monday, December 17, 2012 at Kindred Hospital in Rome. She was born in Whitfield County on April 11, 1942, daughter of the late Lawrence and Wyama Massingill Burdette. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Curtis; a brother, Larry Burdette; and a brother-in-law, Alan Kimsey.
Priscilla was retired from Gordon Hospital, and was a member of the Heritage Baptist Church. She was church organist for a number of years.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Wayne and Susan Patrick of Columbus, GA, and William and Shonda Patrick of Calhoun; two step-daughters, Sheila Dyer and her husband Wayne of Calhoun, and Shelly Ledford of Chatsworth; and two sisters, Hilda Kimsey of Mansville, GA, and Brenda Anderson and her husband James of Calhoun. Other survivors are grandchildren, Nolan and Justin Patrick; eight step-grandchildren; several step great-grandchildren; and a special great-niece, Tuesdae Anderson.
Funeral services for Mrs. Priscilla Joyce Patrick Curtis will be held Friday, December 21st at 3:00pm from the Heritage Baptist Church, with Dr. Brent Davis and Rev. David Ray officiating. Interment will follow in the Swamp Creek Cemetery in Carbondale, with Rev. Junior Clayton officiating. Pallbearers serving include Wilson Garnett, Patrick Burns, Justin Patrick, Avera Ward, Larry Anderson, and James Knight.
The family will receive friends at Heritage Baptist Church Friday from 12:00 noon until the funeral hour of 3:00pm.
