Quentin Haynes

Mr. Barnette Quentin Haynes, Jr., 77 of Calhoun, died Thursday, June 29, 2017 at his home. He was born in Gordon County on July 15, 1939, son of the late Barnette Quentin Haynes, Sr., and the late Nell Dacus Haynes. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jimmie Lou Davis Haynes.
Mr. Haynes was a veteran, serving his country in the United States Army. He was a long-time teacher in the Calhoun and Gordon County School systems.
Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Sheae and Jeff Wyatt, of Calhoun; his grandsons, Dr. Josh Wyatt (Sally), and Jeremy Wyatt of Calhoun; his sister, Cynthia Cross of Calhoun; and nephews, Carl Cross (Gaye), and Eric Cross (Tracy).
Honoring his wishes, his body will be cremated, and no services will be held.
