Obituary

Quillian Young, 69, a lifetime resident of the Sonoraville Community, died at his home while surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, May 14, 2019. He was born in Gordon County on February 6, 1950, son of the late Doyle and Loma Hambrick Young. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Lou Bryan Young; his siblings, Randall Young, Hazel Gravely, Elizabeth, and Martha; and nephews, T.T. and Austin.
Survivors include his children, Stanley Young and Donna and their children, Louann Mulkey and Bryan and their children, Danny Young and Sheila and their children, Charlene Young and Kevin and their children, Lee Young and Sandy and their children, Barry Young, and Eric Young and Krystal and their children; special grandchildren, Harley Parker, Kyle, and Eric; many great-grandchildren; brothers, E.J. (Philis), M.C. (Connie), and Tracey (Lynn); sisters, Suelane (Buddy), Marcel (Billy), and Carlone and the late Jackie; and special friend, Tina Lomax.
The Young family will receive friends on Thursday and Friday, after 6:00 p.m., at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home. The funeral will be on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. from the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow the service at Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers serving will include Lee, Bryan, Josh, Russel, Kim, Anthony, and Thomas. Honorary pallbearers are Samuel, Bo, and Kevin.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home.
