Obituary

Susie Q. Shoemaker, 50 of Fate, Texas, died Saturday, November 20, 2021. She was born on February 27, 1971, in Dalton, Georgia to Jessie Matthew Cox and Ann Davies Johnson. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Chuck Waters and Jimmy Cox; sisters, Shannon Cox and Violet Waters.
She attended North Place Church in Garland, Texas, and prior to her illness, she was employed by Dr. Scott Dooley as office manager.
She is survived by her husband, Jamie Shoemaker; son, Cass M. Shoemaker; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jeff (Jami) Waters, Matthew (Kerrie) Cox, Charlie Johnson, and Michael Cox; sisters and brothers-in-law, Judy (Larry) Tilley, Tammy (Keith) Burchett, Leigh (Clinton) Kennett, Kathy Hodge, Courtney Hodge, and Debbie Luffman.
The family will receive friends on Friday, December 3, 2021, from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home.
The funeral will follow the visitation at 3:00 pm from the Chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Daniel Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers are Grayson Tilley, Wesley Leatherwood, Clinton Kennett, and Hayden Matthews.
