Randy Larry Witt

Mr. Randy Larry Witt, age 50 of Calhoun, died Friday, August 5, 2011 at Gordon Hospital. He was born in Floyd County on September 10, 1960, son of Catherine Carney Haygood and the late Thomas Larry Witt.

Before becoming disabled, Randy was employed in the textile industry. He was a veteran, serving his country in the US Army.

Survivors include a son, Josh Witt of Rome; his mother and step-father, Catherine and Bobby Haygood of Calhoun; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Ricky and Janice Witt, and Sam and Stephanie Witt, all of Adairsville; a sister and brother-in-law, Tina and Barry Rickett of Calhoun; nephews, Chad and Cody Witt, and Dalton and Dylan Witt, all of Adairsville; and aunts, Mary Ruth Robinson, Dorothy Wilson, and Shirley Crump.

Funeral services for Mr. Randy Larry Witt will be held Sunday, August 7th at 3:30pm from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Gary Quarles officiating. Interment will follow in the Concord Baptist Church Cemetery. Active pallbearers will include Jerry Evans, Kenneth Roland, Willis Worley, Barry Rickett, Eddie Carney, and Keith Greeson. These gentlemen are requested to meet at the funeral home Sunday at 3:00pm.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 12:00 noon until the funeral hour of 3:30pm.
