Obituary

Reece Scotty Payne Sr., 82, of Plainville, GA died Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at his home. He was born in Blue Ridge, GA on May 14, 1936, son of the late Dewey and Billie Patterson Payne. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanette Payne, in 2014; and his daughter, Tawana Payne Rosenberg. He was the last of nine children.
Reece was a veteran, serving his country in the US Army. He was retired from the City of Douglasville, and had spent most of his working life as a truck driver.
Survivors include his sons, Randy Payne Jr., Scotty Payne Jr., Jamie Payne, Nathan Payne, and Jay Donnell; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Friends and family will gather Wednesday, May 15th at 3:00 PM at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with a Memorial Service to follow at 4:00 PM. Brent Jones will officiate.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home of Calhoun.
