Resinald Seabolt

Mr. Resinald Seabolt, 79, a lifelong resident of Gordon County, passed away on Friday, January 8, 2016 at Floyd Hospital following several months of declining health.

Resinald was born in Gordon County on September 23, 1936; he was the son of the late Adam and Estelle Rogers Seabolt. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Resinald Nate Seabolt Jr. He proudly served in The United States Marine Corps. Resinald retired as the owner and operator of Bolt's Transport. His friends will remember Resinald as a man who loved life and his family. He was very giving, and very fun to be around. Resinald enjoyed playing golf, especially with his grandson, Hayden, who was also his best buddy.

Survivors are his wife, Pam Seabolt; his daughters and son-in-law, Jennifer Seabolt Thomason and Steve Thomason, and Christy Bryant Parker; his sisters, Colene Seabolt and Linda Sue Seabolt; his mother-in-law with whom he had been friends for many years, Hazel Thornbrough; his precious grandson, Hayden, his niece, Sharon Greeson; his nephews, Jeremy Seabolt and David Sheriff; his great-niece, Paige Greeson Reddix; his great-nephew, Chad Greeson; many other relatives and friends.

The Seabolt family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 12, 2016 from noon until 2:00 p.m. at Heritage Baptist Church, 345 Curtis Parkway, Calhoun.

To honor his wishes, Resinald's body was cremated. The memorial service will follow the visitation on Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at Heritage Baptist Church. Dr. Brent Davis and Rev. Eddie Brannon will officiate. Military Honors, by The United States Marine Corps Honor Guard, will follow the service at the church.

The family suggests that flowers be omitted and contributions be made to the Resinald Seabolt Memorial Fund, C/O Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, PO Box 1027, Calhoun, Georgia 30703.
