Robert Earl Coram, Sr., 86, of Valrico, Florida, born in Tampa on September 15, 1930, passed away on Sunday, January 8, 2017.
He was a member of First Baptist Brandon. He was a Southern Baptist minister for more than 60 years who pastored Old Fashioned Baptist in Tampa, First Baptist Valrico, East Thonotosassa Baptist, Kings Avenue Baptist in Brandon, and Berea Baptist (Parkway) in Plant City, and who staffed Causeway Baptist in Tampa, Springhill Baptist in Fernandina Beach, DOM in Calhoun, Georgia, and Trinity Baptist in Ocala.
He loved his Lord and family, and he enjoyed fishing, golfing, and Reds baseball.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Patricia A. Coram; children, Rick Coram (Judy) of Jacksonville, Ron Coram (Pauline) of Valrico, Rhonda Hawkins (Allen, Sr.) of Valrico, Patti Lusk (Ronnie) of Valrico, Sue Quinley (Pete) of Glen St. Mary, and Rob Coram, Jr. (Shari) of Quincy; 15 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; and many other family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, January 12 at 3:00 P.M. at First Baptist Brandon, 216 N. Parsons Ave, Brandon, where the family will receive friends beginning at 1:00 P.M.
