Rex Alan Roberts

Mr. Rex Alan Roberts, age 55 of Calhoun, passed away November 7, 2007 at Redmond Regional Medical Center. He was born in Floyd County on April 21, 1952, son of the late Ford and Daisy Lipscomb Roberts. Before becoming disabled, Mr. Roberts was self-employed as a farmer. He attended Maranatha Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Jean Burchett Roberts; a son and daughter-in-law, Wesley and Marcella Roberts of Calhoun; a brother, Carlton Ford Roberts of Dallas; step-mother, Eva Mae Roberts; and a grandson, Wesley Alan Roberts. Nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Mr. Rex Alan Roberts will be conducted Friday, November 9, 2007 at 3:00pm from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Ron Bankson and Rev. Terry Timms officiating. Interment will follow in the Pine Chapel Cemetery. Active pallbearers will include Clint Hayes, Jason Dyer, Matthew Dyer, Jeffery Davis, Brian Davis, Chad Hayes, Phillip Craig, Preston Davis, and Timmy Roberts. These gentlemen are asked to meet at the funeral home Friday at 2:15pm. Honorary pallbearers will include Todd Causby, Clyde Hayes, Steve Dyer, and Richard Craig. These are asked to meet at the funeral home Friday at 2:45pm. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday after 5:00pm.
