Richard Calvin "Hoss" Goforth

Mr. Richard Calvin "Hoss" Goforth, age 77 of Plainville, died Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at Pruitt Health and Rehab in Rome, GA following declining health. He was born in Gordon County, GA on October 20, 1938, son of the late Alvin and Dimple Petty Goforth. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Luther, Eugene, Charles, Clarence and Franklin Goforth.

A service to honor the life of Mr. Goforth will be held on Sunday, December 27th, at 1:30 PM from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Kenneth Phillips officiating. Interment will follow in Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, December 26th from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.

Survivors include brothers, Billy Goforth of Plainville, and Jerry Goforth and his wife Cindy of Calhoun; a sister, Mary Lou Burns and her husband Fred of Plainville;
special nieces, Wanda Morgan and Deborah Jones; and special nephews, Chase Goforth, Jerry Lee Goforth, Jr., David Goforth, and Wayne Goforth. Other relatives and friends also survive.

The family would like to recognize and thank the staff and management of Pruitt Health and Rehabilitation in Rome for their care and support.
