Richard Clyde Massingill

Mr. Richard Clyde Massingill, age 57 of Tunnel Hill, GA, passed away Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at his residence. He was born in Whitfield County on September 3, 1955, son of the late William and Pheoba Sue Moore Massingill. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Lamar Massingill and Steve Massingill.

Richard had been employed with Carpets of Dalton, and attended Olivia Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Debbie Ann Hembree Massingill; a son, Richard Cook of Tunnel Hill; a brother, Dwight Massingill of Dalton; two sisters, Sheila Harrington of Tunnel Hill, and Sandy Voyles of Dalton; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Funeral services for Mr. Richard Clyde Massingill will be held Friday, October 19th at 1:00pm from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with William Scott officiating. Interment will follow in the Fain Cemetery.

The Massingill family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Thursday from 5:00pm until 9:00pm.
