Richard Wayne Burgin

Richard Wayne Burgin, age 25, of Armuchee, passed away on Friday, December 1, 2006. He was born in Oklahoma on July 30, 1981, son of Melvin Leon Burgin, Sr., and Sonya Faye Thompson. Mr. Burgin was employed in the mobile home moving industry, and was a member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church in Calhoun.

Survivors include his wife, Latisha Swann Burgin of Calhoun; father and step-mother, Melvin and Vickie Burgin, Sr.; mother, Sonya Faye Thompson; a brother and sister-in-law, Melvin and Brandy Burgin, Jr. of Trion; a step-son, Dylan Oglesby; step-daughters, Brittany and Brenna Oglesby; a step-sister, Jessica Defoor of Calhoun; aunt and uncle, Ronnie and Charlotte Luffman; uncle, Barry Swann; aunt, Debbie Lane; step-grandfather and step-grandmother, Roy and Priscilla Swann; niece, Leah Burgin; nephew, Eli Burgin; other uncles, aunts, great uncles, and great aunts also survive.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, December 4, at 1:00pm, at the Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Eddie Brannon officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday morning prior to the memorial service.
