Ricky Sisson

Mr. Melton "Ricky" Sisson, age 63 of Aragon passed away Sunday, August 28, 2016.

Mr. Sisson was born April 16, 1953 in Atlanta, son of the late Glen Sisson and the late Margaret Roberson Sisson. He retired from both Engineered Fabrics Corporation and Old Fashion Foods and was of the Baptist faith. Ricky enjoyed motorcycle riding, playing golf and had a great love for his family. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Linda Jean Hulsey Sisson.

Survivors include his wife, Rachel Ann McCormick Sisson of Aragon to whom he was married October 1, 1999; two sons, Richard Sisson of Aragon and Buddy Coudle of Dalton; daughter, Brittney Childers of Calhoun; three sisters, Carolyn Womack of Aragon, Joyce (Whit) Dunn of Centre, Alabama and Jeannie (Don) Wolfe of Summerville; two brothers, Carlton (Peggy) Sisson of Cedartown and William Sisson of Atlanta; two grandchildren, Riley and Jesse also survive.

Funeral services for Mr. Sisson will be held on Thursday, September 1st at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Freeman Harris Funeral Home with Rev. Greg Robinson officiating. Interment services will follow in the family lot of the Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery of Paulding County.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Whit Dunn, Donald Sullivan, Josh Robinson, Dwayne Knight, Terry Roberson and Matt Daniels.

Honorary pallbearers will be Connor Mobbs and Hubert Cole.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday evening, August 31st between the hours of 6:00 and 8:00 p.m.

Freeman Harris Funeral Home is in charge of the funeral services for Mr. Melton "Ricky" Sisson.
