R.J. Cochran

Mr. R.J. Cochran, age 79 of Marietta, GA, formerly of Fairmount, died Sunday, June 12, 2011. He was born in Pickens County, GA on April 19, 1932, son of the late Rufus and Stella Holt Cochran. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by three brothers, Clarence, Herman, and Hubert Cochran; and two sisters, Sybil Cochran and Mae Cochran.

Survivors include a brother-in-law, Glenn Scoggins of Fairmount; nephews, Bill Cochran, Ronnie Scoggins, Travis Scoggins, and Carl Scoggins; and a niece, Audrey Young. Also surviving is an extended family of dedicated health care providers of the A.G. Rhodes Home in Marietta.

Funeral services for Mr. R.J. Cochran will be held Wednesday, June 15th at 2:00pm from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Eddie Brannon officiating. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Grove (Ryo) Baptist Church Cemetery. Music will be arranged by Sally Jones. Active pallbearers will include Dustin Scoggins, BoBo Young, Alton Scoggins, Kyle Young, Robby Burrell, Doy Tucker, and Lamar Cochran.

The family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Tuesday from 6:00pm until 9:00pm.
