Mrs. Robbie Lee Moss Goble, age 87, of Flint, Michigan, formerly of Calhoun, passed away Tuesday, July 17, 2007 at Avalon Hospice. She was born in Gordon County on May 18, 1920, daughter of the late Louis and Edna Taylor Moss. On November 20, 1936, she married Pat H. Goble. They had been married for 70 years. She was a member of Flint Baptist Temple.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a son; Larry Francis, age 16 in 1962; a daughter; Brenda Ann, age 19 in 1963; a sister; Dimple Lackey, and a brother, George Moss.
Survivors include her husband, Pat H. Goble; two sons and daughters-in-law; William Pat Goble and his wife Linda of Howell; and James Randall Goble and his wife Patricia of Swartz Creek; seven grandchildren; Tracy (John) Henige of California, Tony (Lisa) Goble of Kentucky, Trisha (Brad) Isham of Davison, Deborah (Don) Lougheed of Swartz Creek, Roger (Susan) Goble of Brighton, Ron (Lisa) Goble of Plymouth, and Rodney (Amy) Goble of Pinckney. Seventeen great-grandchildren; a sister; Sally Hales of Dalton; a sister-in-law, Mae Moss of Calhoun; and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services for Mrs. Robbie Lee Moss Goble will be conducted Sunday, July 22, at 2:00pm from the Philadelphia Baptist Church in Calhoun, with Rev. Tim McCulley and Rev. Jack Cole officiating. Interment will follow in the Campbell Cemetery at Pleasant Hill, with Rev. James Cobb officiating. Active pallbearers will include Terry Goble, Jerry Goble, Danny Hales, William Pat Goble, Randall Goble, and Tony Goble. Willard Goble will serve as honorary pallbearer. These gentlemen are asked to meet at the funeral home Sunday at 1:00pm. The family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home on Saturday from 2:00pm until 4:00pm, and again from 6:00pm until 9:00pm.
