Mr. Robert "Cobb" Dutton age 63 of the Dutton Community, Adairsville, GA passed away Thursday, January 10, 2013 at his residence following several months declining health.

Cobb was born in Gordon County on August 11, 1949, son of the late Junior and Louise Dutton. He attended Sonoraville School and was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and hunting. Prior to ill health forcing his retirement, he was employed with the Gordon County Board of Education in the Maintenance Division. He was preceded in death by a brother, Ray Dutton and by a sister, Sheryl Dutton Faulkenberry.

Survivors include his wife, Samantha Belvin Dutton; two sons, Parrish Dutton and his wife Ginger of Adairsville, and Schae Dutton and his wife Margaret of Fairmount; two daughters, Julia Dutton Black and her husband Kacee of Calhoun, and Harley Dutton of Adairsville; a brother, Larry Dutton of Adairsville; sister-in-law, Joan Dutton of Adairsville; and brother-in-law, Lynn Faulkenberry of Calhoun. Grandchildren are Ty, Tanner, Houston, Cole and Sarah Dutton, and Kason and Trent Black. Several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.

Funeral services for Mr. Robert "Cobb" Dutton will be conducted Saturday, January 12th at 11:00 AM from the graveside at Plainview Baptist Church Cemetery, with Rev. Sam Adams officiating. Active pallbearers serving will include Wesley Thomas, Tony Dutton, Bruce Kelley, Jack Champion, Scott Watson and Mickey Watson. Honorary pallbearers include Mark Childers, Harold Stanley, Johnny Dutton and fellow employees of the Gordon County School System, Maintenance Division.

The family and friends of Robert "Cobb" Dutton are invited to gather at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Friday evening between the hours of 7:00 PM and 9:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Robert "Cobb" Dutton Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 1027, Calhoun, GA. 30703
