Robert Eugene Taylor

Mr. Robert Eugene (Buddy) Taylor, age 72 of Calhoun, died suddenly Monday, November 25, 2013 at his residence. He was born in Deland, FL on April 25, 1941, son of the late Robert and Lula Carter Taylor. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Jeanette Charvat and Lessie Kirkland.

Mr. Taylor moved to Gordon County from Douglas, GA in 1994. He loved to garden and the outdoors, and enjoyed his two mile daily walk. He attended Big Springs Baptist Church.

Survivors include a son, John Anthony Taylor of Broxton, GA; a brother, Henry Taylor of Douglas, GA; four sisters, Nancy Sanland of Calhoun, Mae Moss of North Carolina, Peggy Grantham of Alma, GA, and Alice Nutt of Dallas, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives. He also leaves behind his beloved dog, "Max".

Funeral services for Mr. Robert Eugene (Buddy) Taylor will be held Saturday, November 30th at 3:00 PM from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Fred McCoy officiating. Cremation will follow the service.

The Taylor family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Friday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
