Robert L. Altum, Jr. age 74 of Chattanooga went home to live with his Lord and Savior Friday afternoon following an extended illness.
Mr. Altum was born October 22, 1934 in Chattanooga Tennessee, son of the late Robert L. Altum Sr. and Gussie Ervin Altum. Robert lived the greater part of his life in Chattanooga and was a retired architect. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his sister Polly Altum Wilson.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Emma Hood Altum, daughter Rhonda and her husband Larry Barnett, two sons Ron and his wife Shelia Altum, and David and his wife Heidi Altum all of Chattanooga. Several nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great grandchildren also survive.
Celebration of his life services will be conducted 11A.M. on Wednesday January 21, 2009 from the chapel of the Wilson Funeral Home in Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia. Interment will follow in the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
Our family will receive friends on Tuesday evening between the hours of 5:00 and 8:00 P.M. at Wilson Funeral Home.
